About Us

Andrew Kilpela was born and raised in Marquette, MI. Growing up, he was constantly outdoors working with his dad on projects. He has had a love for equipment and the desire to work hard and do things to the highest standard. These morals have been instilled in him through family generations including his grandparents who own a potato farm.  Andrew started in the landscaping world young, at age 10 he was biking around to the neighbors houses mowing lawns and chopping firewood. Andrew was finally able to save enough to buy a tractor, his first piece of equipment, which springboarded him into greater interest in equipment operating and landscaping. Years later, he decided to start his own business and Yard Builders LLC was created. In the summer of 2020 Andrew married Sarah and together they are working to run Yard Builders. . Andrew ensures that everything is built to the highest standards, with the quality, and professionalism every project deserves. These are values that Andrew instills in his crew, and expects his crew members to act professional on and off the job-site.
